9/8 Update - Harvest begins

As summer comes to a close and temperatures begin to suddenly drop, we have been processing produce for the meals and restaurant use - tomatoes, greens, potatoes, onions, carrots, and peeled garlic - while also getting ready to harvest our corn varieties and apples. This year we’ll press apples for juice and experiment with apple cider as well. We purchased a Molinito 1.0, a special type of stone mill to process blue corn into masa for tortillas. More to come on that soon!

Last month, we donated a surplus of greens to the Northern Youth Project in Abiquiu for use towards their Green Gifts and food assistance program. Green Gifts has safely contributed over 2,100 pounds of local produce & goods to our community. We look forward to continue to work with them going forward.

We are now taking orders for the September 26th Dinner and October 4th Lunch. Please note and mark your calendars for the last Dinner of the season with Marjorie Sweet on October 24th.

The Coffee Stop is open Monday through Friday 6am-11am and as the weather turns cold, we’re thinking of some treats to warm the soul. Also, there are restrooms available at Dora’s events and at the Coffee Stop.

We appreciate everyone’s effort in creating a safe environment by wearing a mask and keeping a distance. The meals have been a great success. Thank you all for your creative adapting to a difficult situation so we can offer good food for a special coming together.
